These are public mobile billboard prices from price guides and sellers, not quotes. Real rates move with the market, the format and the length of the buy.

How much does billboard advertising cost?

A static billboard in a big US city usually costs several thousand dollars a month. Dash Two puts the New York average at about $10,000 a month, and The Hustle reported Los Angeles boards at $5,000 to $9,000 a month in December 2025.

The price follows the spot: how many cars pass it, how big the face is and how long you book it. Billboard sellers also quote cost per thousand views, called CPM. Dash Two puts the average static billboard CPM at $5.21.

A billboard never moves, so you pay for the people who pass one spot. A truck carries the same kind of message along a whole route. If you are pricing billboards, price trucks in the same market before you sign. Here is how a mobile billboard truck works.

What does a billboard truck cost per day?

A dedicated billboard truck costs about $800 to $2,400 a day with printed panels and $1,200 to $3,600 a day with LED screens. The day rate pays for a truck and a driver whose only job that day is your ad.

Some operators also sell by the hour. One political mobile billboard vendor quotes about $150 an hour and about $1,400 for an eight-hour LED day (Mobile Billboard Global).

The math, not a quote

A month of a dedicated static truck, on the road 20 days at $800 to $2,400 a day, comes to $16,000 to $48,000. Twenty LED days at $1,200 to $3,600 a day come to $24,000 to $72,000. One day is a good buy for one event. Twenty days is a different budget.

What does advertising on a working truck cost?

Truck advertising on working trucks is sold by the month, because the truck is on the road for its own job anyway. One broker lists wrapped delivery trucks at $4,200 to $7,600 per truck per four weeks, with a $5,000 minimum per market (Blue Line Media).

The math, not a quote: three four-week runs on one truck at those rates come to $12,600 to $22,800.

Pass By Media also sells by the month, with two differences. First, we use a printed banner in a frame bolted to the truck side, not a wrap, so a new banner goes in without a new install and nothing touches the paint. Second, our price is a flat monthly number per truck, plus a one-time production charge for the frame and the first banner. See frames vs wraps for the full comparison.

If you own vans, you can also wrap your own. ACHR News put a van wrap at about $3,500 to $4,500 in 2020. That ad only goes where your own vans already go.

What drives the price of a truck ad?

Five things set truck advertising cost: the market, the format, the number of trucks, the number of months and the production. Here is how each one moves the number with us.

  1. 01

    Market

Dense city routes with slow traffic are worth more per mile than empty highway. You see the route log before you decide.

  2. 02

    Format

A 53-foot trailer is the biggest panel on the road and runs the interstates. A box truck is smaller and works the neighborhoods. Trailers cost more per month.

  3. 03

    Number of trucks

Each truck is priced on its own, and the per-truck price comes down as you add trucks in the same market.

  4. 04

    Months

Campaigns run three months or longer. Longer campaigns get a lower monthly rate, and the production cost spreads over more months.

  5. 05

    Production

A one-time charge per truck for the frame and the first banner. A new banner later is a print charge, not a new install.

What should a mobile billboard quote include?

A clear quote names the trucks, the hours or months, the display, the production cost and the proof you get. Ask every seller, us included, the same questions so the numbers compare.

  • How many hours a day is the truck on the road, and on which streets or lanes?
  • Is printing or production included, or billed on top? Is there a minimum per market?
  • Static panels or LED screens? Will a competitor share the truck?
  • What proof do you get, and how often: photos, a route log, a GPS report?
  • Who approves the artwork, and how long from approval to the road?

Our answers: one flat monthly price per truck, one-time production for the frame and the first banner, three months minimum, one business per category on each truck, and on the road usually within three weeks of approved artwork.

Which option is the best value?

The best value depends on how long you need to be seen. For one day, rent a truck for the day. For months in the same market, buy by the month.

  • One event, launch or weekend: a dedicated billboard truck for the day. You pay only for the hours you need.
  • Video, or a message that changes by the hour: an LED truck. We do not offer LED.
  • One fixed spot you know your customers pass: a static billboard.
  • Months of repetition in your market, on city streets or interstates: a banner on a working truck. Ask for our number and put it next to the rows in the table above.

How much does a mobile billboard cost per day?

About $800 to $2,400 a day for a dedicated truck with printed panels, and about $1,200 to $3,600 a day for an LED truck, according to Dash Two and LED Truck Media. Some operators also sell by the hour.

How much does a mobile billboard cost per month?

It depends on the model. Twenty days of a dedicated static truck at public day rates comes to $16,000 to $48,000, while working-truck programs are sold by the month, for example $4,200 to $7,600 per truck per four weeks through one broker.

Is a mobile billboard cheaper than a billboard?

For one day, yes. For a full month, a dedicated billboard truck usually costs more than a big-city static billboard, so the fair monthly comparison is a banner on a working truck, which is sold by the month.

A flat monthly price per truck, plus a one-time production charge for the frame and the first banner. We give you the number on a 15-minute call, and the first ten advertisers get pilot pricing.

Yes. Campaigns run three months or longer, and longer campaigns get a lower monthly rate.

Do you charge per lead or per call?
